Chapter 6: Be Humble and Don’t Be too Worldly
No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. – Matthew 6:24

Chapter 7: Live Pure and Trust God
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! – Matthew 7:11

QT: Matthew 5

Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12)
Blessed are those who are poor in spirit, who mourn, who are meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, who are the merciful, who are the pure in heart, who are the peacemakers, those who are persecuted & insulted, falsely said of all kinds of evil against you because of Jesus.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Summing up Matthew 5:13-16
Don’t lose saltiness and let your shine for His glory

God’s Laws Are Not Nulled (Matthew 5:17)
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Murder & Anger (Matthew 5:25)
Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

Adultery (Matthew 5:28)
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Divorce (Matthew 5:32)
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Oaths (Matthew 5:37)
All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

It’s Not Tit for Tat (Matthew 5:42)
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

Love Your Enemies And Frankly Anyone Not Close to You (Matthew 5:44-45)
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

“Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts. (‭Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬ NKJV)

Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, And the LORD listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the LORD And who meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” (‭Malachi‬ ‭3‬:‭16-17‬ NKJV)
